Ministries of Greater St. Paul Church

Department of Women's Ministries

Sis. Renee D. Brown, B.A., President
Sis. Christina L. Page, Vice President

Our Purpose

It is our purpose that the women of Greater St Paul come together in unity building one another up; encouraging each other to stand firm, grow in faith, and contend for the truth. God has called us to be sanctified, and preserved in the midst of this evil world. It is our endeavor to provide the enrichment and encouragement that is needed for us to stay faithful in our Christian journey. It is our prayer that God will give us wisdom and strength as we seek to gain a closer relationship with him.

Our Mission

To be Holy women committed to prayer and fasting.

To be women united as sisters in Christ, building one another up in the most Holy Faith.

To be women rooted and grounded in love and filled with the fullness of God. That we will have power to enable us to go beyond our needs and minister to the needs of God's people.

Adult Women's Usher Board, Sis. Linda Pettis, Coordinator

These faithful ladies serve every First Sunday. They are sharp and attentive in their white uniforms and serve the people of God with pleasure. Mother Linda Pettis is the President of this board.

Deaconess' Board, Evang. Helen Beavers, R.N., B.S.N., Coordinator

These workers serve only at the pleasure and appointment of the Senior Pastor. If you are saved, sanctified, Spirit filled, faithful at all levels, with a good reputation and have a servant's heart, you may be asked to serve in one of these significant positions of servitude.

GSP Armor Bearers & 1st Lady's Adjutant Corps, Sis. Teresita Nelson, Coordinator

These members provide hands-on support and ministry support to our Pastor and First Lady in the areas of their personal and public ministry. They are a quiet, sophisticated, conservative group that moves gracefully throughout the services to attend to the needs of Pastor and First Lady and their guests. They may drive for them, run errands, assist visiting speakers and evangelists, carry books, bibles, packages, briefcases or any number of other needs that leaders may have at this level. Sis. Teresita Nelson is the Coordinator and provides specialized training in every aspect of Armor Bearers and Adjutant services.

Sunshine Band and Choir, Sis. Marcella Allen, Coordinator

Whether an active youngster, or a shy little one, a boy or girl, the Sunshine Band can provide some great activities for your young one. The leadership team is trained to work with children ages 2-12. You will find only seasoned, patient, veteran members of our congregation tackling this age group.

Their activities range from singing great songs to learning sign language. The Sunshine Band has been known to sing on very special events including Youth Days at the local church or on the State Supervisor's Day in the Holy Convocation! They take zoo trips or other fun outings. When disaster strikes, don't count the Sunshine Band Out. They came to the aid of the Katrina Victims in a big way with their Pennies from Heaven Project. It's amazing how quickly their little gifts add up and they beam with pride when they bring offerings to their Pastor and First Lady! Get involved and bring your little one to Sunshine Band.

Young Adult Usher Board, Sis. Shanae Brown, Coordinator

Our young adults take the floor and keep the doors on Fourth Sundays. Sis. Shanae Brown and her staff cover every bit of the sanctuary with grace and poise.

Women's Bible Study, Sis. Renee D. Brown, B.S., Coordinator

In a small group setting, on select Tuesday evenings, the women of Greater St. Paul meet periodically to discuss the Word of God. Their studies may take them through the various Women of the Bible, Old Testament Prophets or to the teachings of Jesus Christ. In either case, you can count on a lively, informative study of the bible with appropriate emphasis on the woman's perspective.
