Ministries of Greater St. Paul Church

Department of Youth Ministries

Sis. Deserie Smith-Gainey, President

Sis. Deserie Smith-Gainey directs all the activities of this dynamic group. Our youth outreach ministries meet every Second Saturday and spread out into various groups of boys and girls, meeting the needs of youth of all ages. Everyone from the Sunshine Band to Teen Talk and all in between will find their place somewhere within this well-organized ministry. This is the group that may take a plane to some special convention or take on the basketball court for a few hoop shots! Whatever it takes, be it Bible Study or Praise Dance, this group does it all!

Second Sundays will find our youth and children serving in the house of the Lord. They are eager to serve in their navy or black and white uniforms with little white gloves. Train them up in the way they should go is the motto they live by. Mother Linda Pettis and Sis. LaTonia Garrett keep this energetic and sometimes wiggly group in check.

Precious Little Darlings

Do you have a young girl age 3-11? If so, GSP's Precious Little Darlings is for you! This group of "girly girls" meet to do the fun things little girls enjoy doing. They may spend an afternoon doing arts and crafts, baking cookies, or visiting a Beauty College to have their nails and hair done. Occasionally, this group likes to go to the Sports Arena for an afternoon with Disney characters or to have lunch at the Red Lobster! Let your Little Darling join the other young ladies of Greater St. Paul and find her niche in social skills.

Straight Talk for Girls, Sis. Angela Comer, LMFT,Coordinator

Teen Talk, Sis. Teresita Nelson and Sis. Marquisha Blanche, Coordinators

Young Warriors (Boys ages 4-12), Evang. Mary Page and Shanae Brown, Coordinators

First Lady Mary Page and Sis. Shanae Brown coordinate activities for this energetic group of boys. You will not find these gentlemen at bible study. They get that in Sunday School and youth settings. Rather, they meet to have fun and just be boys! They may go to the zoo, to the Wild Animal Park, the Boardwalk or to lunch at Hometown Buffet and a youth movie. But wherever they go you can be sure they will get to be active and have fun. Shhhh. Don't tell them that they are learning Godly principles of behavior and interpersonal relationships while having a great time!
